Wing Sze Tang is an award-winning travel writer and editor based in Toronto.

Much of her current work appears in the Toronto Star, Canada’s largest daily newspaper and one of Canada’s largest online news sites.

She’s written features about hiking the Trans-Bhutan Trail (she was one of the first foreign journalists to do so), visiting the French fields where Chanel No. 5 sources jasmine flowers, and crossing the Grand Canyon from Rim to Rim in one day.

She particularly relishes exploring a destination through its food culture, from Michelin-starred fine dining in Switzerland to $5 bowls of pho in Vietnam.

Beyond the Toronto Star, her travel stories have been published in The Kit, enRoute, Travel + Leisure, Re:porter, Range by Ensemble, Sotheby’s Insight, Bombardier Experience, ELLE Canada and other outlets.

In a past life, she was a health and beauty editor at several glossy print magazines, including FASHION and FLARE. She’s interviewed Hollywood stars, business moguls and skincare scientists, and still preaches about the absolute importance of sunscreen.

She started her career as a copy editor. Attention to detail remains her love language.
